Back when I was about 19-20 my gf at the time came and woke me up one morning absolutely hysterical, she was furious and in tears asking what I had been looking at on the computer the night before. I had recently discovered the website which shall remain nameless and I used to spend hours at night after she went to bed smoking weed and talking shit and fapping to sexy teens. I never bothered to delete the history because the threads were always gone by the next morning and the cache had been filled with other crap that I looked at afterwards so there wouldn't usually be anything incriminating there. Not this time though.
So I make my way bleary-eyed out of bed hoping she had just seen the girls I was looking at and was over-reacting, I wasn't surprised she was mad if it was just that because she was very jealous but as I said she was absolutely hysterical so my mind was racing trying to figure out what it could be. The kind of fucked up shit that gets posted there that you would absent mindedly click on made me think I might have some explaining to do, especially back in those days.
So I get to the computer and she starts showing me the pictures and there was CP everywhere. Some of you who were around in the before time may remember whenever there were teen threads someone would think it was funny to start posting CP, I never thought anything of opening the pictures, I have much younger sisters so I was used to seeing naked little girls and it was really strange to me that anyone would see that in a sexual way. I never had that "OH MY GOD THATS DISGUSTING" reaction that some people have because it was something I was used to seeing. I would always open every picture too though, surely I'm not the only one? It would be like 'sexy teen - fap - sexy teen - fap - CP - wtf weirdos - sexy teen - fap some more' and so on. But try explaining this to a hysterical girlfriend who's not familiar with how 4chan works.
So I did explain it and eventually she believed me, although years later she admitted that she wasn't sure if she did but just didn't really want to think about it if I was lying. The worst part though was one time we were drinking with some friends of hers (they weren't close friends either just a workmate and a neighbour and a couple other fairly casual acquaintances) and she was pretty drunk and told the story of what happened, that's bad enough because its a pretty tough thing to digest but she told it really badly because she was drunk. It was something like "ONE TIME I FOUND CHILD PORN ON THE INTERNET HISTORY BUT HE JUST LOOKED AT IT BY MISTAKE! IT WAS JUST A MISUNDERSTANDING HAHA!" Meanwhile I'm standing there mortified just telling her to shut the fuck up and not talk about it which obviously made the whole thing seem a lot worse. So somewhere out there there's a few people who are probably quite sure I'm a pedophile, and an ex girlfriend who knows me better than anyone who isn't 100% sure that I'm not, all because I didn't bother to delete my internet history.
