What's a personal rule that you'll never break?

Spent my summer in university working for my aunt in the states with my brother (we are Canadian). I am desperate for money right now and at her promise of a pay close to $20 CAD an hour doing landscaping. I dropped the job I had just got (getting $12/hr) instantly and went down to the states to start working under the table.

Anyways, worked for 3 months, deal was we would get paid at the end. End of August come around, deal fucking changed. Me and my brother were now getting charged $200 rent a week (previously $50 a week just to cover our food costs) and our hourly pay was $12 CAD an hour. And she wasn't paying us for anytime that we worked on her property since this was now counted as "weekly chores" we were expected to do (we worked something close to 60 hours each on her new house's property making it nice).

She robbed me and my brother and has all but disowned by my mother (her own mother is crazy (did pretty much exact same thing to her) and our mom is her mother figure). She denies any wrong doing and says that was the deal all along. Overall, me and my brother are out close to $7000 each. She hasn't paid the other little over $2000 each yet either and I doubt we will ever see it.

Overall, with school funds I have been fucked over hardcore. My parents have no money to give me. Government funding expects that you work over the summer and since this was all under the table, I have no income to list. She fucked me over economically so hard and I hope her life falls apart.
