I simply stopped talking to them.

I had a bunch of friends when I was a teenager. After some time, even though we lived close, I just stopped talking to them. Not in a aggressive way. I just stopped. I didn't call or text. I answered them when they contacted me, but I didn't care so much about having a conversation anymore.

Many of these people never did anything against me, like at all. Au contraire, some of them actually helped me quite a lot, in terms of talking to me and making me company. But after I hit my 20s, I just wanted to be alone for the most part.

People just talk and talk about many things as if the things that they think and talk about are the most important things in the world. I am not saying I know something that is more important, or anything, I don't, but I just don't wanna talk about who got married or what somebody else is doing at the moment and if it is good or not for their lives.

I started using the internet more, youtube, reddit, 4chan and many other websites. And now it seems that people are just so... boring. Not in the stupid or mean way, it's just that I don't find any joy in talking to people anymore.

Whenever there is a conversation, it seems like everyone wants to talk and no one wants to listen, and even when they do listen, they are trying to find a way to use this as part of what they wanna talk about, that if they respect you, because if they don't, they just say "yeah, yeah" and then they go on talking about whatever they wanted to talk about in the first place.

And now, I talk to a few people here and there, but even so, I still feel like I have to push myself to do it. It is never fun and exciting. It's stressful and time-consuming. Maybe I am a little used to how much content I can find online and how many interesting things I get to see and enjoy. People cannot be better than the entire internet.

I try to see if I can get some people thinking about how communication is important, and how we should always take into consideration everything we say to everyone, because it is a very powerful thing to be able to communicate. But it seems that people want to talk about who is screwing who...
