What's something that's completely legal, but that pisses you off when you see someone doing it?

Here is my Airing of the Grievances:

  1. People attempting to take photos with tablets at weddings and baptisms and other events. Now you're the asshole with an iPad in an Otterbox case in the back of everyone's picture and probably a lot of professional pics, too.

  2. At the airport gate many times I'll see someone take up 2 to 3 seats in the following configuration: Sitting in 1 seat. Coat/Jacket have their own seat OR luggage + coat/jacket taking up a seat or blocking a seat. Don't be selfish animals, people.

  3. People who refuse to conform to standards to "make a point/don't care".

I went on a Celebrity Cruise several years ago in my early 20s with my girlfriend. The cruise was very expensive and stuffy and the average age of everyone on the boat was over 70 but we figured why not. It was our first cruise and we wanted "luxury" boat instead of "party" boat.

Anyway, there was one "formal" night where you had to dress up for dinner in the "grand dining hall" or whatever it was called. You always had the option of wearing more casual clothes (tee shirt, jeans, shorts, etc) and eating at the buffet in the cafeteria where lunch and breakfast was served.

I wore a tie and jacket and my girlfriend wore a really beautiful dress. There was about 6 or 7 stations setup where photographers were taking formal pictures. In the middle of our photo session ,we see this couple descend the grand staircase and our jaws just dropped. It was a middle aged couple in their late 40s to early 50s that just was a bit "different". The woman was dressed very in a dress, jewelry, hair and nails obviously done up. She could've easily attended a wedding.

Her husband/boyfriend looked a bit like this. Super long mustard yellow tee shirt, very similar to the pic. Neon green jeans. Timberland boots. More logos over his clothing than a NASCAR jacket has sponsors. No baseball cap, cause its a formal dinner. Obviously he looked ridiculous since he was damn near 50 dressing like he's 20 and in a Lil' Wayne video circa 2005. Also, his date was not dressed at all like this because it was a formal evening.

At first I thought they just wanted to have their picture taken, which is totally fine with me. You're on vacation, make memories. We later saw them at the formal dinner and EVERYONE was staring at him at one point or another for how ridiculous he looked in this room full of people in formal dress. The very old (and white) people we were having dinner with made comments such as "interesting style" or "I like his shirt", basically laughing at them. Nothing racist was ever said that we heard at our table (I'm not white), but they were basically having fun at their expense for a few minutes as I'm sure every single table in that room of 300+ people did as well.

I felt bad for the woman because he was obviously drawing unwanted attention to them. He obviously chose NOT to pack appropriate attire and she did since we were all told about the formal night and had to RSVP to attend it. I don't see how they didn't either fight before, during, and after dinner about it. She didn't look too happy about the attention they were receiving based on my limited sightings of her.

He got to be "comfortable" and wear what he wanted but his wife/gf was probably embarrassed and was looking forward to a nice fancy-ish dinner.

Can't say I wasn't annoyed because I put in 20 minutes of effort in packing extra clothes, ironing them and then I see someone walking around like he's at the county fair.
