What's the strangest conversation you've overheard while eating at a restaurant?

It was at a food court at an airport, but I was within earshot of a dad with his mid-teens daughter, and he was ridiculing the absolute hell out of her.

From the sounds of it, she'd ran away and made it to Dallas somehow, and he was here to fly her home. He was going on and on about how dangerous her choices were and that she's still a kid and all that stuff.

What made it strange was that his tone and the words he chose were exactly what he was warning her against. He was saying that people would only take advantage of her and that she was too young to know anything about the world. He wanted her to grow up and learn how to be a respectable person. Everything he said was with a "you fucking idiot" undertone, and I felt terrible for her.
