What's your internet "white whale", something you've been searching for years to find with no luck?

In the early-mid 2000's I worked at a mall sports store that had monthly (or so) video that played on a loop. Mostly it was just top 40 or whatever music videos, but occasionally would be random, interesting or super annoying stuff. The repetitive nature of the recurring loop made most of the content completely 'un-watchable/un-listenable' by the end of each cycle (especially holiday videos...). One music video in particular that I found exceptionally 'un-hearable' from the very beginning, captured and held hostage a tiny part of my subconscious mind... and I MUST seek it out to finally conquer it. Every few years I hear something in a current song or show that triggers the slightest flicker of this mostly-faded memory... and it's this un-scratchable itch all over again. I have searched the web and occasionally brought up the subject with friends, but nobody has a clue who or what this can possibly be (with the limited clues my fractured memory still has left to describe it). This 3 month old post has me wondering if by some miracle (as has happened in several of these other posts), that someone out there might be able to help give name and shape to this demon memory, that I may vanquish it, at great last. All I can remember is this:

It was a skinny white singer dude... like a cross between Beck and Michael Cera. It was very melodic... possibly piano/keyboard based 'pop' music. Oh, and I recall there being muppets, or some kind of furry/colorful puppets (maybe singing along?). It was like I watched a Smashing Pumpkins video, then Sesame Street, drank excess of absinthe and ate some shrooms prior to passing out and having this nightmare... As for lyrics or theme, I can no longer recall anything specific. Maybe it was some kind of sad/melancholy love song. Please help.
