What's your most controversial musical opinion?

Kpop makes money. Metal makes music. That's the difference.

Metal makes a ton of money too. You listed a bunch of bands that are fronted by millionaires. And if that's the only difference you can come up with then you're kind of moving my point because I'm not really addressing those facets of the culture between the two. I'm just talking about the conversational similarities.

Kpop tries to appeal to very undeveloped taste of average person. Metal reflects metal musician understanding of music. The point of metal is that metalhead should try to understand metal and the point of kpop is that kpop tries to understand its listener.

This is not really worth addressing has nothing to do with anything musical. It's just whatever pointless dribble.

I, you know, simply disagree.

Okay that's fine if you disagree but I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the musical aspects. That is what I brought up in my original post. We're talking about the way the notes, harmony is, rhythm is being used. Metal is not complicated at all as a genre and neither is k-pop. Both of them follow a formula. There's a lot of similarities between the two of them. Yes ornamentation is different. But that doesn't really matter. The lyrics are different okay that doesn't really matter in terms of musical quality either.

I'm talking about the musical parts. You know the collection of sound.
