Aran is what happens when you get to play as one of those average NPC soldiers, and his quote is fitting for that. He's just a soldier. One of my favourite quotes.

Cain

“Prince Marth...Tell them...I did not run...”

inb4 people complain that Cain is overhyped I kid, but still, this quote is definitely a stand out not only in his game but in the series as a whole. It actually shows that war on these guys is frigging tough, and he takes it with the seriousness that is missing from several others what with his survivor's guilt following him this whole time.

Geoffrey

"Queen Elincia! My queen, where are you?! I can't see... Blood is in my eyes... Your Majesty... I'll be right...there..."

The desperation, the sadness, that decription of what's happening to him. It's really tough to read.

Tormod

"No! I can't...feel my legs... I can't stand up... Where...is...Muarim...? I... I'm..."

Again one with the description as things are happening. It's absolutely heartbreaking, obviously similar to Geoffrey's in that stance. And just like Geoffrey he calls out to the one he is closest to in his last attempt to hang on.

Oscar

"These enemies... They're too powerful... Help me... Boyd... R-Rolf..."

Oscar is not one to call out for help, he's the one who's spent his life looking out and helping his brothers. Yet in his last moment it's all spun around, and he calls out for help, and from the ones he's spent his life looking out for, it shows that he must be absolutely terrified.

Leonardo

"How is it...that people are born... only to die so swiftly? ...If only I had lived a little longer..."

Devastating especially if you consider how he's actually really young (probably around Rolf's age) and the shit he's been through (his parents and brother all died and he was nearly dead after being cornered by Begnion soldiers until Eddie saved him).
