What's your "my landlord is/was a complete a**hole" story?

Current landlord:

We arrived to the house after driving half way across the United States. There was food/dirt/leaves/filth everywhere that wasn't in plain site, green goo all over the fridge, tons of junk from the previous tennants, moldy furnature... We politely explained the situation and she made excuses and blamed the people she hired to clean. Only took $300 off first months rent. We smelled mildew in our bedroom and asked if it could be tested for mold and then she told us to get out but the end of the week. Boyfriend had a little talk with her and she backpeddled. It worked out but I hope the rest of her days are filled with suffering.

Realtor/property manager for a house we put a $500 holding deposit on last week:

Once she had our money, she said that she made a mistake and it doesn't come with a washer/dryer but she has a set in storage we can use. I talk to my boyfriend and call her back saying that's fine. Then she sneaks in that she might need some extra muscle to move them. I stupidly said okay. Later I emailed her and told her my boyfriend recently hurt his back so we can't help move them and asked if they would be able to take care of moving them into the house.

This lady went psycho. She called me and immediately got aggressive saying that she was already letting us use them for free (part of the deal that she advertised was the house came with a washer and dryer), that it wouldn't be fair because she would lose money (okay so we're supposed to pay more than we agreed to when we put in a deposit because of your mistake?). My boyfriend spoke to her after I did and he came so close to telling her she was a cunt and to go fuck herself. She repeated the same nonsense, making a huge issue out of the dog, brought up several times that she got hit by a snow plow so she can't pay to move the washer and dryer. This bitch even brought up court, saying that we wouldn't get anything. No one was talking about suing.

If she couldn't take care of it we would have probably tried to reach a compromise. But this lady went from zero to apeshit over a simple question.

We called the property manager she's working with and he agreed to take care of it but we told him we're no longer comfortable doing business with them. They said if we back out they won't give us our deposit back.
