Honestly, I think I might be in the middle of mine right now. I'm a freshman in college and I have a pretty big crush on an awesome girl that I've known since high school. Never really thought of her as any more than a really fun person to chill out and smoke up with once in a while until we both ended up at the same little college a couple of hours from our home town and started hanging out way more frequently. As we gradually became closer we start to developed some chemistry between us (teasing eachother, casual flirting, etc.) and I slowly realized that I was falling for her pretty hard. Long story short, i never manned up enough to ask her out and now she's been hanging around with some other dude (though she's never talked about him with me, I only learned that through her BFF who I'm also really good friends with.) However, we still see each other almost daily and bullshit all the time but it just feels like something's changed. It's pretty soul-crushing to know that I almost certainly blew my chance to get with the coolest girl I've ever known, but at the end of the day, I'm just glad that at least she's happy
