When has being honest gotten you into trouble?

During my senior year in a Lutheran high school I was pulled into the vice principal's office half way through the year and asked if I had smoked marijuana. I had tried it literally once at that point and told my vice principal exactly that. He told me that I'd have to sit out half the baseball season (I had played on the varsity team since my freshman year). I told him I wouldn't be playing baseball for the school anymore. I was a straight A student for 7 semesters so I just gave up and stopped giving a shit about classes because baseball season was really the only reason I wanted to be there anymore - aced my finals that semester and barely passed all my classes, I tried to intentionally fail my religion class because at that point I'd had enough of the lies and being punished for my honesty just pushed be past being civil about it anymore.
