Mines kinda a reverse of some of the stories, I was met doing well, was unemployed after getting injured st work, poor, barely housed and my boyfriend's best friend's wife and I became close. We had long phone conversations, hung out a ton. Then I recovered and got a job again and wasn't able to hang out quite as much or have long phone conversations but we still hung out. As I felt my self esteem rising I noticed so much if our conversations would just be her talking about herself and no interest in what was going on with me. I barely got a word in. And the successes I had, she wouldn't say anything not even "good job" or "I'm happy for you". I just graduated with my masters degree and no reaction from her. Communication dropped off somewhat because I was super busy with school and work. A few years ago they moved several states away and she had a baby and completely wrapped up in her own life, they recently came to visit for a month and couldn't find any time to hang out with us either as a couples date/get together or individually, not even my boyfriend and his best friend. So that kinda sucks and I feel bad for my boyfriend.
