When was the last time you called 911, what was it for? NSFW

A truck tried to push me down a hill to my death/injury.

I was on the way back from dropping my dad off at the airport, driving my family's Lexus RX350. The airport is a forty minute drive from my house, mostly highway. The roads were very quiet (Sunday afternoon) but there was some slow traffic in the right lane so I got into the left lane to pass and accelerated to a speed well above the limit (10+ mph over) to overtake.

Apparently this wasn't fast enough for some guy in a white Dodge Ram towing an empty landscaping trailer because he moved alongside me in the other lane, then without warning moved slightly in front of me and used his trailer to push me off the road. I spent about 15 seconds in the gravel then got back on the road. Annoyed, but completely unhurt I got the guys description, a partial of his plate, and tried first to call the non-emergency number for the highway patrol since I didn't need immediate assistance. The non-emergency number led to a recording saying 'we're closed, call 911' so I did, since at this point I was now behind the guy and wanted to guide the authorities in if I could.

If I had been in my daily driver (sports coupe) I probably would've been injured or had my car ruined since it would have bottomed out on the 6" curb between the asphalt and the gravel. Also that shoulder is only five feet wide and beyond it is a 100 foot hill that retreats at a 75 degree angle and ends in a river. Had he pushed me off with any more force the Lexus and I would have been in the water, so fuck that guy.

He exited and as far as I know the cops never got him, but they probably wouldn't have told me if they did. I'll never know if he was trying to punish me for 'left lane camping' (I wasn't but people get really angry about that and fast) or if he was just not paying attention and changed lanes without looking (doubtful considering the way he went about it, 'herding' me with the trailer and ensuring no body contact occurred, then gunning it as soon as I went off the road). Side note: the RX350 seems to be a road rage magnet, I've never had an incident in my loud, red, sports car but that fucking gold crossover has gotten me run off the road (above) and threatened by angry bikers.
