I stopped watching but from what my friend told me, they announced Rick was gonna leave the show going into the season, so everyone expected him to die. Then he didn’t, the entire infamous “Ricks Final Episode” and the few episodes before teased that he was gonna die, he was alone, mentally tired, fell off his horse and got impaled by some rubble. He was basically trying to walk away from a horde of walkers that were around him. He kept seeing visions of characters that died in the past, Shane, Hershel etc. He ended up being trapped on a bridge with the walkers at the end of the episode, and just when everyone was coming to the terms with the fact that this is how he’s gonna go out, he got picked by a random helicopter and got saved. Then low and behold, they announce that Rick Grimes was gonna get his own trilogy of movies to further monopolize the franchise.

The show still sucks.
