They’re just casting more and more people with big, crazy personalities in general and I guess most gay dudes who fit that description are on the flamboyant side. Like I know guys who you would definitely never mistake for being straight but they’re not gonna provide any more entertainment than any other person. CBS can’t make a character for themselves to promote and feature on other shows from that the way they can with a little person bodybuilder and a broadway dancer. Casts these days are like 50% instagram models, 30% people with crazy big personalities, and 20% actual pretty regular people. I agree that I’d love to see more regular people and less token casting though.
