I give as many compliments to my female friends as I can, on their hair, their makeup, their new shoes, I tell them all the time how great they look, I feel it's important to help validate each other and it can lift someones spirit. I on the other hand haven't received a compliment in years, I'd probably cry if I received one. To tell another story about looking after your men, I don't celebrate my birthday for a number of reasons but these two girls I was best friends with when I was younger found this out so they went and bought me a pair of cheap trainers, my only pair I had at the time were worn out and falling apart in the middle of a wet winter, I broke down crying because it was the nicest some considerate thing anyone had every done for me, all these years later it still is.
