Women aren't choosing Math as a major, and it's still men's fault

Better to operate within logical bounds that were bestowed upon her than to be taught logical processes and have to go out and apply it to solve problems. I fixed a computer once for a woman who was a programmer for a large company. It was an extremely simple driver fix.. She was not a problem solver.

This is one of the big uncomfortable truths that you can't talk about. Yes women can be top of their field, but they are almost always simply acting on rules that they have learned. Don't take the word of some guy on the internet, observe it in real life. There is an inherent, intangible difference in the way the sexes view and interpret reality.

Read about Marie Curie, arguably the most important female scientist of all time. You won't find it spelled out for you, but after a bit of reading from different sources I was able to notice some clues. Big mamma jamma numero uno: she married her college nuclear physics professor. They worked together until he died, then she continued his work. This is where her great breakthrough came from, and if you filter through the bullshit and read a few different accounts it will be clear. Can't remember what else I saw, but several bells went off in my head as I looked into it.

This rings true in my personal experience. Hey another example I just thought of. I had a female teacher growing up who was a math guru (and I've met a few in my life, they're not totally nonexistent). Once I solved a problem out of the norm. Her instinct was to say I was wrong, and she only conceded (with great awe) that I had actually gotten it right after she took my work and did her own investigation. Rules is rules. All this also explains why girls do better at sitting in a classroom doing mindless busywork. Degrees don't even impress me any more, besides pure work ethic. Any idiot can get a PhD if they work hard enough.
