Why this world exists ?

Babbling is welcome. We're discussing things most people overlook. I don't know if you've ever heard of the show Highlander (or the movie). It's about a bunch of immortals who are trying to take each others heads off to claim some ultimate power lol. Well, the main character got me thinking. He said he changes his identity before people realize he doesn't age. He never gets sick, and he can't die unless his head is removed from his body. He knows about almost anything, from medicine to martial arts. My point is, he's of average intelligence yet he comes off as a genius because he had Time, time to learn anything he wanted. This also reminds me of a movie called "The Man from Earth" (2007). It's about a guy who biologically doesn't age. He rarely got sick and he avoided war and accidental death because he was lucky. It's a very interesting movie and I wouldn't want to spoil it for you.

All our organs become less efficient at their job, like you said. If scientists came up with a way to halt or reverse our cell degradation, it would change everything. Probably not for the better since overpopulation is a real thing right now. I think nature solves certain problems with natural selection. Like the pandemic we're going through. It's part of nature to get sick and die, not to live forever (sadly).
