Blue eyes fluttered open as we stared down at the man from the tube. I watched as his pupils dilated to tiny specs under the influence of the bright, overhead lighting. He squinted, glancing around at us, before a smile lit his face and he started speaking. I didn't understand a word, but it sounded like Russian to me.
"Do you speak English?" Jack asked from the other side of the tube.
The Russian chuckled and sat up, "Of course I do. It has been some time, though. I like this form you have chosen. No-- let me guess! Alexei. You've always been good at this, but I have to say this is your most life-like yet!"
Jack and I exchanged a confused glance. "Who is Alexei? What is your name?" I asked.
The man rolled his eyes, "Now I know you are Alexei and Erik. It is Iosif-- save your jokes for Yury. They will no longer fool me... although the female form and the suits are a nice touch, Erik." He swung his legs out to stand and we backed up. Jack's hands tightened on the laser drill, pausing Iosif where he half-stood, half-sat. "Not Alexei and Erik, then." He said carefully, studying both our faces. "Ah."
