[WP] Man finds out that knowing the future is more trouble than its worth.

Walter woke up with a start. His body ached. Sleeping had not been comfortable. More out of habit than anything, he gave the straps around his wrists a tug. Tight as ever.

The chair he was in must have had the most uncomfortable cushions on the planet. The door to the room opened and a man in a black suit and tie walked him. He looked so cliched that Walter suppressed a snort wondering why he wasn't wearing sunglasses indoors.

"Good afternoon Mr. Wescott" The Suit said. "Today, we will start to test a different variety of external stimuli to see if there's any progress"

"Go fuck yourself" Walter snarled. "It won't do you any good. I can't control it"

"You can't control it yet." replied The Suit smoothly.

He placed his briefcase a the edge of Walter's chair and opened it. Inside was what appeared to be a lot of organized wiring. The Suit began to unravel the wires and connect them to small suction-like sensors. He then placed these sensors on Walter's forearms, thighs, chest, and forehead.

Walter regretted training under that gypsy. He regretted becoming the world's most successful fortune teller. But most of all, he regretted that his foresight hadn't warned him that his own government would be so interested in his ability.

"What the hell are you doing to me now?" snapped Walter.

The Suit paused. He seemed to contemplate whether to humor Walter or not.

"These sensors will monitor your body's electromagnetic field. We want to see if your unique talent has any correlation with it."

Walter opened his mouth to retort, but suddenly the room vanished in a blur of color. Walter was in bedroom. A man and woman were getting dressed, their hair ruffled.

"I don't like doing this at your place Helen. I'm always worried that we might get caught."

The woman rolled her eyes. "Stop it Charles. My husband spends more time at work than anyone else I know. You have nothing to worry about"

She shot a dirty look at a wedding picture on the wall. A much younger version of herself laughed in the arms of The Suit.

She turned to look at the man named Charles. "Plus, I can attest that you're much more fun than he ever was."

And then Walter was back in his dungeon. He looked up at his captor and couldn't help but smile. The Suit looked at him suspiciously and left the room, locking the door behind him. As the sensors attached to his body beeped periodically. Walter couldn't help but remain optimistic that at least something had gone right today.
