We owe everything to our great grandfather. The ancestor who lived a short life of around eighty-nine years, an estimated three centuries ago. By no exaggeration do we express that it is completely because of him that we exist as we are today.

Back in the early 2000s, wealth disparity within the Human population began to segregate. Education differences were the first obvious issues, which lead to crime increases in certain areas, which lead to numerous other problems that fed into one another in a loop of "positive feedback." Those issues weren't alone though. The middle class had begun to shrink, wages had stagnated and slowly become eroded by inflation, cutting the middle-class down, year after year.

The masses became less and less educated- more and more health problems and negative lifestyle choices shifting into the public norm. This is clearly defined as the beginning of the end for the human race, as it once was.

Three generations back, our ancestor began to sacrifice his life for us- those who would come after. His thoughts and motivations are clearly recorded within his will and testimony, several quotes of which are marked on the walls of our home and residence; engraved in stone and metal.

After correctly predicting that his generation would be the last before a long and horrible fall to what many scholars of that age referred to as oligarchy and serf relationships between the public and the wealthy class, he set about saving his earnings. Every year his income was heavily invested into the fledglings of what is know commonly known as the Macro-corporations. Those which now rule in the stead of previously held governments.

The economic erosion of nationalities was slow but constant in the years to follow, all the while holding to the mantra that money was power. Assets were influence.

His influence grew, from middle class, to upperclass- slowly but surely, and his work continued, never straying from the motivations. "For the future is not bright- but dark, and those who follow after me must understand our very survival is at stake."

That particular quote is held above the others on the for-posts of the great wall and gates of the property. How true they were, for a many who had no more capacity than the common folk, his dedication is something we of the family still appreciate, still learn from.

As genetic manipulations began to come to the front of the public eye, many of the poorer individuals, now barely persisting within the middle class leapt at the opportunity to bring their children to new levels of intelligence, strength, and fortitude. The costs though... such were tremendous- enough to ruin entire families, forcing them into a form of indentured servitude.

The poor could afford none but the most basic of these things, strategically assimilated by those with the most reproductive potential for the economical longterm success of their companies. It was only the wealthy that could truely afford the maniuplations that could make a true difference.

Utter Genius, Psychic ability, and immortality.

Many have grown arrogant in their abilities, let the power over the masses truly shift their mentality upon the world, fooling themselves to believe that this way of life will never end. But we know better; for nothing can last forever. All civilizations have met their ends, and this shall be no different. As we track the malignant manifestation of recessive alleles within the lower classes and populations, we already detect hints of our advancements settling in- insidiously sinking into those below. In time these traits will spread like a wildfire. Our rule is not permanent.

The future is not bright, but filled with darkness.

But when that Darkness comes, we will be prepared. For we have learned from that dedication, and we are ready.
