He woke up and walked out of his house, it was cold morning but really every morning was cold, he looked out over the ocean or what was once the ocean and as he had done many times pondered what it was like before all the ice teeming with life just a dream world to him. He looked up at the white sky, no longer blue for the sun did not have an ocean to reflect off anymore. This like many other days was how Adrian started his days, and just like all the rest he began his way to work. All the remaining humans all worked to drill into the ice and catch food, fish was the only thing that lasted through the cold, it was tough at first, many died not being able to last on just fish, but some survived, just a few. On this day Adrian was all alone drilling into the ice, it was very thick and took some time before they ever found water, but he kept on going and the suddenly he seemed to hit an air pocket he could hear air coming out and steam like he had never see before, he looked down into the hole and could see something he was not sure it looked as if it were hair, he dug down around it and when he finally got there it was something he never expected to see. It was a woman. Not cold and frozen but warm as if she had been kept inside this capsule all her life. Adrian quickly wrapped her into a blanket and rushed her to his house. He later her by the fire, and he just sat there looking at her studying her, she was young and beautiful with long dark hair and staggering blue eyes. She did not move either just later down staring at the fire. After what felt like a very long time Adrian spoke " are you okay, do you know what happened to you" she quickly turned and looked at him, she tilted her head and without answering turned back to the fire. Puzzled Adrian asked another question " do you have a name?". This time she did not turn but spoke " I am hope", " well I am Adrian nice to meet you, do you know what happened to you" . Ignoring what he said she asked " I need to go to your nearest city and speak with your leader" " we'll miss you are in the last human city, this is all we are these few people, and I suppose I am the leader". " well she said " I am here to help you all, I was left behind to help rebuild civilization I have been in that ice for a thousand years" "I am your hope"
