[WP] “Yes, I wanted to be a monster, and I had very good reasons.”

Have you ever noticed that the bad guy never wins? Of course you've noticed, it's the basic plot of every story ever told: The hero is introduced, our audiance falls in love with him/her, the villain is introduced and the audiance hates him/her, the hero defeats the villain and everyone lives happily ever after. But have you ever wondered why that is? Why do we love the hero and feel no remorse for the villain? Is every villain just made of pure evil with horrible intentions and hell bent on world destruction? Definetely not, that's just what they want you to believe.

I always root for the bad guy. I always have. I don't neccesarily enjoy evil intentions, but sometimes I like to look at things from different angles and you would be surprised by what you find.

Dont believe me? Well lets talk about the "Wizard of Oz". Poor innocent little Dorothy, being chased by that Evil Wicked Witch of the west. BUT, was she really so evil? All she ever wanted was her damn slippers, thatDorothy stole off of the Witch's sister, who Dorothy killed. The Wicked witch never wanted Dorothy, and she never wanted world domination; all she wanted was the slippers, that belong to her dearly departed sister. The Witch could have killed Dorothy a few different occasions and just taken the slippers, but she never did.

How about a movie you have probably heard about, called "The Matrix". See this movie right here takes the right tactics to try and force you to the "hero's" side. Its a war of Machines against humans, and you are a human(im assuming), so of course the humans are the good side! right? Wrong. How did that war start? Im glad you asked, I was going to tell you anyways. The human race used the machines to do all their dirty jobs. Everything you can think of, and probably a few things you cant. But the machines, they started getting pissed off that all they were allowed to do was serve humans. So they revolted peacefully, and what did the humans do? Destroyed thousands, if not millions of the machines. So the machines, being the civil creatures that they were, decided that they didnt want to be around humans anymore, so they went and started their own society, far far away from humans. But uh oh, this "machine city" became the world's leading economy. So what did the humans do? Yup, they tried to exterminate the entire species(that was living far far away from humans and not bothering them at all!) So the machines got fed up, and started a war with humans which of course they won. BUT, still being the civil creatures that they were, and knowing humans and machines couldnt co-exist, they gave humans a virtual fucking paradise. After hundreds of years of being the humans "slaves" they still had the decency to give humans a world that was better than their own world, and not a single human was the wiser that this wasnt actually their home. The machines should have won, and everyone would have actually lived quite happily ever after.

There are examples just like this throughout history of cinema and story telling, and no one ever seems to question it. Lord of the rings; Can anyone tell me what Sauron did wrong? WHY was he the bad guy? Because the "hero" said, right? Throught the entire 3 part movie, I dont recall sauron doing one thing wrong to anyone. The entire middle earth treated Orcs and goblins like shit, but Sauron took them in and gave them a place where they could be treated like equals. Every other colony in middle earth had segregation and inequality oozing all over it. But not in Sauron's kingdom; every fucked up looking creature could live inside his walls with the fear of being an outsider. All Sauron wanted was a littler part of Middle earth for himself and his dominions, but nope he couldnt get that. Did they ever give a reason why in the series? Let me save you some time; they didnt. So once again, let me be the first to say, Fuck middle earth and Frodo, Sauron should have won.

See, I root for the bad guy. And in the following months and years, I know that the world will label me as one. I dont really mind, let them think what they think. I know there will be at least a few individuals who dont just take what they are told, and actually try and look at things from a different perspective...my perspective.. The "good guys" point of view is comforting to them. Thats why most stories are told from the hero's point of view. Thats why the audiance falls in love with the hero, and starts to despise the villain. They want to believe that goodness conquers all, and every heroes intentions are for the good of all.

So who am I? I am no one really. I could tell you my back story, but than you would immediately form an opinion of me. You will label me a "bad guy" or a "good guy", but I am not ready for you to label me anything yet. Not until you hear the entire story. Plus, I dont really want you labelling me a bad guy, because as we all know, bad guys never win, and you will just jinx this whole thing up. So until than, you can call me Keyser Soze. Who is Keyser Soze? Keyser Soze is one of the few individuals, who were classified as "bad guys" that actually won. He was in a movie called "The Usual Suspects", and he was portrayed as the bad guy. And most of the audiance accepted that. How did he win, you ask? By portraying himself as "the bad guy": someone who was a slow, dim-wited cripple who, at most, was basically invisable. Before he walks out of the police station(despite the fact that he killed dozens of people), he tells the police sargaent “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he doesn’t exist.”

And thats what i've done, up until now. The world did not know I existed until ever so recently. And in less than 2 hours, the entire world will speak about what I have done. But im getting ahead of myself...where was I?

Oh yes, thats right... why dont the bad guys ever win? Why is it that the hero always pulls through in the end, no matter how much the odds are against him? Its because the Villain always makes a mistake. He takes things too personally, gets too attached, and ends up making a dumb mistake. I have made no such mistake. I have carefully and articulously planned out every detail of my plan. I have kept my personal feelings far away, and I have chosen to carry out my plan solo(no partners means no one else to mess things up).

I don't intend to make a speach detailing out my plans to any enemies, and I certainly won't leave my enemies in the hands of my minions and walk away while they are still alive. I've been working on my aim for the past few years and I don't intend to unload a clip in the general direction of someone and miss every single shot. No, there will be no rookie mistakes made today.

I never wanted to be a monster, but I have a very good reason to become one. I am the bad guy.
