[WSIG] Thematic and Replayable 2-player Game (That can be played with more people)

My boyfriend and I have really been enjoying Beyond Baker Street recently.

It's highly thematic, via the art, characters, and premise laid out in the rulebook - you're amateur sleuths trying to solve a case before Sherlock Holmes. Every character card is someone who was actually in the original Arthur Conan Doyle stories, which is lovely. Definitely one of the best games to play if you love getting immersed in that literary universe.

There are 18 unique player characters (20 if you count promos), 6 different difficulty modes, and dozens of different suspects, motives and opportunities that will all be shuffled up to form your random case. The replayability is insane here.

And it plays anywhere from 2 to 4 really well, with 2 being the best in my own opinion.

It's cooperative, which I have no idea if you're into. If you're the sort of person who doesn't like quarterbacking in co-ops, don't worry, as this one uses the backwards cards mechanic of Hanabi, making it impossible to take over the table without literally cheating. I really love how it's taken the Hanabi mechanic and assigned it to a real, solid, non-abstract game. It's definitely worth checking out.
