So I decided I wanted to buy an Xbox one after the Xmas price reductions. This meant I was looking at $399.99 price tag minimum for a new Xbox One (bundled or not). I just could not come to terms with paying the $399.99 knowing that less than a month ago they were $349.99 bundles and other incentives.
As I was browsing Amazon.com, I saw and Xbox One pop up in the "PRICED FROM" section for $307.XX. It was an "Amazon Warehouse Deal," fulfilled by Amazon and listed as "Used Like New." I figured, maybe I should give this a shot... With Amazon I get hassle free and paid for shipping on a return if the item is not to my liking. Also "Like New" meant it had to have looked much better than those used Xbox Ones on Cowboom.com, used Ebay or used Craigslist posting. However, my hopes were dashed... As I browsed Amazon for a couple of minutes looking for a game, by the time I hit the checkout button, the item was no longer available.
So as the day went on and I was working, every so often I would refresh the Amazon.com Xbox One Page, hoping for another Xbox One from Amazon's Warehouse. Nothing... The next day I did the same thing, but not as often... just whenever I remembered. And then it happened. Another Xbox One popped up from Amazon Warehouse Deals. BUT, this one said "USED VERY GOOD." I teetered on the "should I buy this" line for a few seconds and finally decided to take the plunge. I figured all the reason I listed above would still apply to this purchase because, after all, it was from Amazon themselves. Let's just say I am happy with the way things turned out. The Xbox was in great and working condition, the free game codes worked and I regret nothing after playing for a couple of hours... Feel free to check out the imgur pic album I assembled.
And for those looking to get a deal on the Xbox One, Keep that F5 key close by and Amazon.com open (Wow... Sorry if that sounds like a plug, but I'm just a surprised and satisfied customer).
