Years ago I made a series of posts on Christian subs saying third worlders should have the right to pirate media. I was met with endless scowling and finger-wagging replies, from whom I assume were generally American Christians. It was a lovely educational experience. Let's try this again.

Making a copy of a thing is not the same as stealing a thing. Get that through your thick Reformed skull.

Read Against Intellectual Property by Stephan Kinsella if you want to wrap your head around this fine point. (It's not a fine point, but he explains it beautifully.)

So no, I'm not advocating theft throughout my post, I'm advocating civil disobedience.

Although IP laws are really de jure rather than de facto in South America. Do you even know what that means? Of course you don't. I can smell stupidity when I read a comment and I smell it.

If you lived in the third world, you would probably be pirating John Piper and John MacArthur books. But putting themselves in other Christian's shoes is something you first world Christian never do, in my experience. You won't even try to imagine what it's like.

All you idiots can do is recite the same facile moralizing over and over, as if things down here worked the same as they work in your hemisphere. You filhty hypocrites.

I said what would you do if you earned two dollars a month. And you are essentially saying, I would let my brain shrivel. Wonderful.

Do you realize how stupid and how cruel you sound?

But whatever. Some mod will now ban me for my "attacks", while you callous idiots will ever get away scot-free for your callous cruelty - a cruelty made worse by its sentimental evangelical drapings.

I've been thinking about apostatizing lately. I don't want to do it, I don't want to go to hell, but being a Christian when most Christians are as stupid and cruel as you is a form of hell in itself.
