YMCA exercise facilities

I've only been to the west side location. It had one power rack and one Smith machine at the time, it could have changed since then. Didn't usually have to wait if I wanted to use them, but I don't usually work out during the busy hours.

I assuming because it was the Y and not a lifter's gym, there are two things you might have to deal with:

1) Non-lifters not knowing the rules. There's a lot of guys sitting on a bench or in a machine talking to their neighbors between sets for an excessive amount of time, and of course it's a bench or a machine you're wanting to use. At least the Y isn't the absolute worst at this, for that it's the UW gyms where college students sit there texting or adjusting their play sets for 10-15 minutes between sets and then get upset when you ask to work in. 2). Weird old naked guys in the locker room who want to talk to you when they're naked. It's not a creeper thing, but for some reason it seems like if you're 90 years old and working out, you spend half the day in the locker room talking to people. After the shower. Without a towel.
