Young people mortgage stories in the papers

I'm in a similar position now where I am living at home and paying £300~ rent and about £150 on food a month as part of my contribution to the household. It means that my savings have taken a huge boost over the last year!

I realize that my post this morning makes me sound so bloody miserable. But at times I haven't had the benefit of living at home, the pandemic made that a reality otherwise I was tied to my office desk 50 miles away paying city rent. Of course I'm happy for my friends, but I am human and resent the fact that a lot of them will judge renting but then have never had to rent. That's the point I was trying to make before I'd had my morning coffee!
