Youtube Commentator becomes woke about the Pro-Advertising Propaganda

...What? No, being subject to wage labor and having the fruits of your labor being stripped from you through profit thereby requiring you to rely on ads no one wants to see is absolutely related to capitalism.

Okay. Under what political system would content creators be free to create content full time and consumers be able to consume that content for free? How do the content creators get food and shelter under that political system?

Don't do YouTube full time.

Why not? What about the talented people that create valuable videos that lots of people want to see? Why should they waste their time doing something society values less?

...the ones who do already make enough to sustain themselves.

How do they do that? How would they continue to do that if we took away advertising and subscription revenue? As you pointed out, customers don't like looking at ads or paying for things, so why should they? I just don't usderstand how the content would keep getting made.

There are very few people who are in the middle.

So, these are the people who would be able to create content full time if it weren't for the popularity of ad revenue blocking software. I'm glad they're spending most of their time serving fast food or cleaning houses or whatever. Let's make sure eh spend less time making content because fuck advertising, amirite?

If you want everyone to be able to produce their content without the middleman, capitalism needs to go and THEN content creators will truly be free.

What was this alternate political system called again?
