Zach Galifianakis Says Donald Trump Won’t Be on ‘Between Two Ferns’ Because He’s ‘Mentally Challenged’

Thanks for the polite comment, really.

Psychosis is something very different than narcissism or learning disabilities. Psychosis refers to an episodic alternate reality justified recursively in someone's head. Narcissistic personality disorder cannot manifest psychosis by itself. Bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, schizoaffective disorder, and just plain insanity can result in psychosis. Psychosis is a state of those illnesses. Attention seeking is not "a psychosis". The word he may have been looking for was idiosyncrasy, which only further highlights his ignorance. He could have even used "trait".

It's this conflation that bothers me. Because his comment is so inaccurate, it leaves nowhere to go other than lumping together everyone with a quote-unquote brain issue. Again, it's like saying all black people or all women are one way. His last addendums make it particularly problematic. "I feel like I would be taking advantage of him," is incredibly condescending, and remember, by this point he's already conflated everyone with autism, ADD, bipolar disorder, and psychopathy, among many others.

If you care to hear it, I'm also concerned that this is the way both candidates talk about mental illness. We're all the same danger to society, and to combat us we have to "clean up the streets". I actually almost cried when I heard Clinton say that last night with Trump merely nodding. I don't want to be dogtagged.
