“20 percent of all recognized pregnancies end in miscarriage. If God exists, he is the most prolific abortionist of all.” - Sam Harris

A miscarriage is an accident, an abortion is a planned account. I don't believe in any god nor care to explain yet again the ridiculousness of what people believe in but the amount of time wasted pointing out the hypocrisy is kind of ironic. And it's not only religious folk who believe willfully taking a life that could be carried to term in many circumstances (as there are times it's the best decision: rape, incest, deformity, detriment to mothers health etc) is murder. Not everything is so black and white, teams are too clearly drawn, and being an atheist does not automatically mean you don't value different levels of life or that it's ok to throw away. Don't get me wrong about the laws, I don't think choices should be taken away from people at all(and I'm not American so luckily it's not an issue here) and free choice is on you as it is on me to have an opinion, but I don't believe it's alright when the circumstance is an eraser to irresponsibility when the consequence of that action could be another you or me growing into a life when viable. That has nothing to do with gods, it has to do with my inclination to value life. But writing fan fiction that equates abortion to a miscarriage to push your beliefs, are as bad as what religions do.
