It's an odd year with a lot of good games but not too many current standouts. Here are the games they've really liked so far:

Celeste Monster Hunter World Dragon Ball FighterZ Into the Breach Chuchel God of War Mario Tennis Aces Octopath Traveler

And a few that individuals have loved like Ni no Kuni II. Of those above I think Chuchel and Mario Tennis likely won't hang, but the rest seem like they will likely be up there. There is also Fortnite to consider, which they will consider because of the impact it made.

As for big upcoming games, there's not too many. Red Dead Redemption 2, Spider-Man, Smash Bros., and maybe some smaller games will surprise.

As for individual categories, Best Looking will be a weird match between God of War and Octopath Traveler. Most Disappointing is Sea of Thieves' to lose. Hottest Mess should be the Sony cross play stuff. Best Debut is probably Celeste. Tropical Freeze finally claims its rightful Best Music throne.
