I (30|f) am sick of being the eldest daughter who has to help her entire family/extended family. I genuinely don't know what to do anymore. I need help please.

Ay yi yi. I relate to this so much. I moved out this year to for once and for all and EVERYONE acts like i abandoned my parents. Literally they have 6 kids but since I’m the oldest girl somehow the responsibility of taking care of them falls on me. And it’s HARD changing and making boundaries but it has to be done. You have to grow up and grow out of it. You have to start saying no or you can’t more. You have to send a text and say I’ll call you back. It’s going to be easy but once you get more used to it you’ll be ok. And they won’t love you any less. The love they have for you is not based on how much you do for them. Talk to them about how overwhelmed you feel! Tell them what you need. You got this!
