A slippery slope, yes, every single FIFA member country can host the WC aswell, but to host you have to uphold certain conditions laid out by FIFA, but since they gave SA the WC in 2010 that hasn't really been the case. SA was kinda bad, but think about what followed after that, Brazil, and then Russia hosting (and now Qatar). Corruption should not be rewarded with sporting events and further spending to the detriement of the economy.
