Is it advisable to bring up my suspicion of ADHD to my therapist?

That’s how I received my diagnosis. Despite the obvious signs that I had ADHD, no one ever caught it and suggested I get tested. In fact, I never suspected it until I impulsively dropped out of school and my husband flipped. A little google digging kept suggesting ADHD which I dismissed initially. A few years later, I broke down and asked to be tested. It is awkward. It is very awkward. Especially if they ask you who referred you or why do you suspect ADHD. Mine did and my brain went blank. But my therapist listened to me as I awkwardly tried to explain myself and my life up to that point. A few tests later, I was diagnosed with severe ADHD-C.
