Ainge on his critics: 'It's fair, but I don't agree with them'

Milwaukee, Chicago, and arguably Miami have a better chance of competing in the next 2-5 years than we do, because they have an asset (the Greek Freak, Butler, Whiteside) in much shorter supply -- an athletic wing or big who can attack the rim and defend it -- than our collection of 4-5 nice little guys who can shoot, plus one competent big who's non-athletic, and 3-4 slow-footed bigs who i trust less with the ball under the rim than IT, Marcus, Avery....

my strongest hope right now is that Jaylen hits the weights this summer, keeps developing his finishing skills. have you seen him from some of his games at Cal? he had confidence, ball skills, real tenacity. watching him stand in the corner, and move about occasionally like a scared colt trying to remember the play, i just want to weep.

if we're going to go down to the Bulls, i hope we'll at least have one or two flurries where we just say, "here's the ball. attack." what's the worst that could happen? we don't score? it can't be worse than watching Kelly stumble around unable to dunk, or someone else clang a three. this guy might be a lot better than Fultz. let's see what he's got.
