NTA. Why do you have to ask this in the first place? Shes abusive towards your daughter and you're not much better by not only allowing this to happen, but hopping online and asking strangers where the problem is in a random fucking woman (from your daughter's point of view) sticking her in timeout for OVER A FUCKING HOUR?! She can grieve all she wants but it's not a fucking 4 year olds problem. If my sons stepfather pulled this shit because of his own personal issues I would be having an entirely different kind of conversation around him. Figure your shit out OP. Your daughter doesnt deserve to be thrown into the romantic tribulations of your personal life.
