I agree to an extent. We limit exposure to crowds, family gatherings, etc, at this age where germ exposure can lead to some potentially serious illnesses.

We’ve already had a bout with a mild cold when he was a wee bit younger and that was tough, but children do get sick and unfortunately he was born in prime flu season. With that being said, any and all visitors, including ourselves, sanitize before handling him in any way and practice precautionary measures to ensure we’re not passing germs around like crazy (sneezing into elbows, coughing into elbows, etc.) The friend wouldn’t have been handling my son anyhow, but that’s besides the point. She’s vaccinated and isn’t currently ill, so not too concerned on my part as long as they sanitize. But as always, I respect my wife and her wishes on behalf of our son but disagreements do happen.
