Honestly this really stood out to me, he alone, is able to put in a 60% downpayment...this is a very financially responsible person (especially in today's market as I'm sure you've experienced with purchasing). As said, I still don't get why this angered her, especially when she's not even contributing, isn't able to supply her own car, angering her again that the rightful owner gets to obviously take it with her. This is some next level entitlement from someone who clearly expected someone to fully care for her and her (school aged) child, but that somehow wasn't good enough, so hey let's take from a child then?! Idk if you saw OP's edit, but the fiance has asked for his ring back thankfully.
