NTA. It’s a control tactic. Even if he is against it, he doesn’t get to dictate what you do with your body. If it is something you really want to do, do it. Someone that loves you wouldn’t threaten to leave you over this. And if your partner does leave you because you didn’t listen, honestly you are better off.

I actually had an issue sort of like this with my husband. I wanted my nose pierced and he was adamantly against it. He said he wasn’t attracted to women with their nose pierced and he wouldn’t have sex with me anymore if I did it. Sounds ridiculous right? Well I got it pierced anyway and he never said anything about it and it was all an empty threat. Honestly I think he likes it now. It’s my body and I will do what I want. (Thank god I married my husband and not some meek person.)

Anyway…do what you want and call his bluff.
