I'm trying to figure out where in the world there would be a psychiatric hospital that would eat two weeks worth of inpatient stay expenses without contacting the patient's insurance provider. This would have involved contacting the subscriber which would have been one of the parents. A stay like this easily runs to $10,000.00 or more in some hospitals.

And what hospital would not have contacted the next of kin and person responsible for charges incurred, especially for liability reasons.

And what college would not have immediately contacted the student's parents to notify them of their child's hospitalization for liability reasons.

And what counselor would not have notified her patient's parents in this situation to cover malpractice concerns?
