Unfortunately, my mom is not a responsible pet owner. The cat has never been spayed, never had vaccines, and has never even been to a vet. She got her as a kitten from a friend and has just kept her for nearly a decade. I’ve made vet appointments for her in the past but my mom always cancels them last minute because she doesn’t want to stress the cat out. I don’t even think it’s possible to spay her now because of her age...at least with our dog, they told us spaying needs to happen before their first cycle. The cat is also incredibly aggressive and attacks anybody that touches her, aside from my mom. I can only imagine they would have to heavily sedate her to give her a check up and that might not be good either with her age.
