First off this article pops up because some HKer is privileged enough to worry more about an American’s inane comments on the other side of the world months after it occurred and should rightfully be forgotten. LeBron has literally 0 political and social power over Asian geopolitics. To bring his comments up repeatedly over and over gives it more power than it deserves.

Their criticism of LeBron isn’t THAT much of an issue as the fact that he, and the users here I’m condemning with him (I even have a suspicion dude uses this site) use the comments to try and discredit James on his opinions on his OWN people, in his OWN country. James criticized Morey, to my knowledge said nothing inherently negative regarding HKers, their leaders, or the validity of their words or protest.

The same people calling out LeBron for not risking multimillion dollar endorsement deals, and the American Dream he built with LITERAL blood sweat and tears to make a comment about something he doesn’t know about, and can’t change, wouldn’t even take a week from work making $70,000 a year to go protest injustices in their OWN communities. If their jobs had them making enough to where all they had to do was shut up and do your job and their children would be set for life, they’d shut the fuck up too.
