Anime characters are always so annoying. Makes always sound like their constipated and females always have that high pitched annoying squeaker voice. I don’t know what voice actors they are using that actually sound like that, but it’s literally so fucking annoying.

That's modern shounen anime. A demography targeted male kids and early teenagers.

Anime is not one demography. The way you said it is like "all American movies are bad" while American movies are consists of thousands type, genre, and demographic. The same thing also applied to anime.

The story is always either really cringy, slow, boring or super cheesy. No inbetween. Never have i ever been gripped or been invested in any anime that my friends have shown me.

Yup, again, that's shounen anime. Your friends loves anime and they probably think anime as one demographic.

Anime is also really hard it get into. Sometimes different shows have a million different series and seasons and filled with pointless filler episodes.

Ah, generic shounen anime. Most anime are done in 1 cour (or around 12 episode). Long running anime (100+ episodes) are usually family-centric shows (like Sazae-san and Chibi Maruko-chan) and shounen anime (Naruto and Detective Conan).

Also, don’t get me started in the fan base. Anime has to have one of the worst fan bases known to human history. What the hell. A lot of them are very defensive about the series that they watch, and take it personally when you even criticise it.

That's average Western/English international shounen anime fandom. Eastern anime fans (Southeast Asia + East Asia) are much more calm, they focused on what they like, and generally tally okay with criticism.

On an ending note, i’d also like to say that anime are indeed cartoons, and manga is just a japanese comic book.
