(Female here in 20's) Is it normal to feel like all males see me as is a piece of meat?

As a male, and also in my early 20s (22), I can certainly say that at least 90% of the guys I talk to that are my age (not people I am friends with, mainly classmates/coworkers) see most women as pieces of meat. Whenever women become a topic of discussion with another male that's my age, the conversation immediately turns sexual. I used to have a class with a guy who genuinely did not believe men and women could be only friends, that way of thinking is honestly soo disturbing.

So to answer your question, your assumption is unfortunately correct. And I am telling you this as a guy, who is also in their 20s. I deal with other guys my age all the time, so I know how they talk. I mean hell, go to any nightclub and just actually look around. You will immediately notice that generally, woman with nice bodies or pretty faces are the ones getting talked to, drinks bought for them, and danced with. It's upsetting that a lot of young men have such corrupted views when it comes to women. I personally believe social media and the internet (all thanks to readily available Pornographic content) in general is to blame for these thought patterns.

My best advice to you would be just whenever you talk to a male try your best to avoid being triggered, and just watch their eyes. I freaking promise you their eyes will tell you nearly everything you need to know. A guy who sexualizes women and only sees them as pieces of meat, his eyes will wonder about. Guys like this generally do not make good, if barely any eye contact. Now a man who can chat with you, about various normal topics, not discuss sex to any regard, and maintain a healthy amount of eye contact. That's a guy who is mentally healthy, and likely does not sexualize women.
