Anyone else wish Hollywood would do away with Black struggle/historical movies?

Film isn't just about entertainment to you, but it is for about 90% of everyone going to movies. Look at the box office for 12 Years a slave and Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail:

12 Years - 56 million

Madea - 90 million

And how often do ordinary people watch depressing movies? Not movie critics, not literate people about movies, ordinary people coming from work, tired from sh*t and just want to relax and have a good time, put on a movie with someone like him and watch the magic happen. Like Friday or White Chicks, movies that were made by black people staring black people, did you see Chris Rock asking black people on the street how many of Oscar nominated movies they have seen? and no one saw anything but Straight Outta Compton. Slavery movies can't remind anyone anything in none watches them, and most people don't, even chunk of the f-king Oscar voters don't watch them.

This is what you fail to understand, most people will never see 12 years a slave and these other movies that will remind them about how they're ancestors were oppressed, these movies are for white people to remind what happened not for black people, I don't know anyone who has seen these, I know everyone saw Star Wars, where everyone was working together, made me feel great and see that no one was different, it wasn't about race or sex, it was a fun movie about a group of friends on an adventure.

How often average, everyday person just pops in Schindlers List? Once in a lifetime? Maybe.. These are depressing movies and I am not talking about the quality. I prefer these movies but everyone around me doesn't, because they make people feel bad, people want to escape to somewhere with adventure and comedy, not slavery, they don't care about critic reviews or quality. So I as a white male can pop in Terminator, Mad Max Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Mission Impossible or about 10000 action movies and see a white male save the world, every year 20+ new action movies to choose from. How much can black people just put on from last year?
