Anyone here have first hand experience of Christian oppression in China?

Tomorrow I'm leaving China after 5 years. Churches even in cities and even small ones in the countryside get their crosses taken down. The community church in Shanghai has to follow certain rules set by the government.

For example, there's segregated mass where Mainland Chinese aren't allowed to attend with foreigners even though translation services are always available. They can only go to the "Chinese only" mass. Next is military personnel in uniform are "ushers" when there's Chinese mass.

In Wenzhou where I visit in-laws you can sense the Holy Spirit in the rural and desolate areas with many devout Christians everywhere! Some Christians are really clever when building their homes like building a red cross pattern with bricks.

It's gotten to the point now that the people are doing everything they can to spread the gospel. There are churches that have guards in place 24/7 to protect the cross of their church so the government can't it down. You can check some videos on YouTube about Wenzhou churches being seized.

I do pray for their safety and I know eventually it will get violent because of China's oppressive regime. But you'll be surprised how many believers there are here and I know they'll be in Heaven with all the persecution they endure for the Lord.
