Has anyone here gotten significantly better? It's hard keeping my head up these days.

I went from being able to attend school more than MAYBE a half day a week (made worth by two attempts at higher education) in 2010 to being able to confidently apply for an office job less than 20minutes walk from home, safe in the knowledge I could handle that walk and the workload (with a little flexibility for rest breaks) this summer.
This came on the heels of an AMAZING GP returning to the practice after a year away. I was very depressed by the continuing declining health, the zero support from medicine (aside from a neuro for a likely unrelated issue) and the collective shrug of shoulders/blame shift of the NHS since nothing was working from their (short) list of standard ideas.
Amazing GP put me on Lyrica - within days I was sleeping better (restful, even slightly, sleep - I was so happy I scared hubs by beaming/crying the entire morning) which gave me some energy, I had rescue meds for the persistent migraines (which would often send me into week long flares) and it let me start upping my activity. Which meant more energy to cook healthier (mostly paleo) meals which also helped a little. I still have bad days and getting a regular bug/cold/cough/"healthy people sick" still knocks down my activity for up to 10 days - but it feels like a significant improvement, especially at a point where I was close to forgetting what "well" had felt like.
