Doing the opposite of whatever your perceived enemies are doing is not a smart strategy. To be blunt, it is dumb reactionary decision-making.

Read the Forbes articles if you have not already. You can be part of a movement that has cult-like elements but you can still be right.

All this talk about "killing hedge funds" may very well be stupid as the hedge funds could already have offloaded substantial risk to market makers, but if this makes believers of this theory hold on to their shares for longer then this could result in higher share prices, i.e. have a positive effect for shareholders looking to sell.
