I've been praised for my work in supporting dyslexic children and in making the english curriculum accessible to special needs pupils with mental disabilities, which place them as a severe disadvantage in comparasion to their peers.

I've taken well over 150 children from not being able to recognise a single letter or word put in from of them to being capable and confident independent readers in their own right.

I also teach entirely through Irish so have a wide understanding on the attainment of first and second language oral and reading skills and took a specialisation in language attainment, fluency and immersion education. I also am qualified, as is every primary teacher, in early education and in educational theory and philosophy.

The main goal of primary education is to teach children to read fluently for meaning and enjoyment. This is the main objective of primary education above all else. Everything else come secondary.

If incorrect brackets use is you're only defence to my above comment then you have proven my points for me. You're an ignorant blowhard who knows nothing about educating anyone. You can have you opinions but your opinions are without merit and are frankly stupid and uninformed.

We operate under best practice for the children in our care. We know what we're doing and we do it well. We have consistently improving literacy rates in the primary sector, we don't teach how we used to 20, 30 or 40 years ago. Leave it to the professionals.

If you want to teach, then apply for it but it would be my guess that you don't have the required amount of grey matter for the task.

If the teaching career doesn't happen, I'm sure there's a village somewhere in Ireland that has a vacancy open for an idiot, a position for which I'm sure you're more than qualified for. If they ask for references you can show them this thread and put my name down as a referee. Best of luck to you.
